There are several things you can do to get your Facebook mojo back.

1. Start at the beginning – ideas

Facebook marketing needs lots of varied and engaging content.

Try this: Brainstorm content ideas. Get as creative as you like and out together a list that includes text posts, videos, images, advice etc. Then schedule about 2 weeks worth of updates and use your page insights to find out which ones work the best. Then create more of the same.

This is a process that should be regularly repeated because if you do the same thing for too long, you’ll start to lose your audience again.

2. Great images

Updates with images do really well, but that doesn’t mean you should shove them into everything you post.

Always use high quality images and how about using them now and then as a caption competition?

3. Cover photo

First impressions count for a lot so make sure your cover photo is a knock-out.

Of course, it should reflect your business, but at the same time show your personality and sum up what your company is all about.

4. Custom tabs

Rather than just going with the usual pages, try a custom one that will allow them to sign up to your newsletter or give them easy access to competitions etc.

5. About you

There’s a short about section on your Facebook page that gives you up to 165 characters to describe what you do. Make every single one of them count and keep it benefits orientated. Plus, don’t forget to add a link to your website.

What else can you do?

You should also:

  • Respond to all comments and messages promptly
  • Ask your fans questions to get them to become more active on your page
  • Ask them to post tips or ingenious ways they have used your product
  • Ask them to share and like posts

Give them a try and you’ll soon start to see an improvement in your Facebook page’s engagement.

Remember though, this should be an on going process.
